Got a little further with the large ship.
Changed directions with the cockpit once I found the very large windscreen. Don’t have enough of the same colors for some of the swooshy bits. but the skin is working ok, the shape is right, some of the details are coming together. I’ll keep working on this!
I was thinking about how to build things a little differently so started on a large ship. Last SHIPtember there was a flood of SHIPs some very interesting vehicles made. Most of those use a Techinc framework to get the size and then add plates or hang bricks off of the frame. So I thought I would make a minifig scale ship with some different angles.
For the cockpit I had this other little ship and wondered if I could expand upon that.
This was a quick hit after the other little ship. I found the windscreen and wanted to make a ship from that. Then it seemed appropriate to make the opening function of the front a little different and this led to a brick-built body and folding wings and then kinda fell apart by the time I got to the landing gear and engines.
Looking at the photos again, perhaps the shape is right but the details are a little off. if I find the right parts I’ll revisit this one.
