    Small Ship #2

This was a quick hit after the other little ship. I found the windscreen and wanted to make a ship from that. Then it seemed appropriate to make the opening function of the front a little different and this led to a brick-built body and folding wings and then kinda fell apart by the time I got to the landing gear and engines.

Looking at the photos again, perhaps the shape is right but the details are a little off. if I find the right parts I’ll revisit this one.

    Small Ships #1

Looking at what is out there I have seen a few fun shapes or parts usage which inspired me. Here is the first of a few small ships that came from that.

I would take better photos but I barely have time to make the models. And by now I have improved this but don’t have current photos. This way there is something posted…

    (Edit from much later)-
I got the famous LEGO yellow castle when it was new (and I was too) and so have some interesting, large slopes. I also wanted to see how I could incorporate the windshield piece and thought a round opening would be right for it. The front of the ship is built upside down and then uses Technic pins to connect to the back. This allows it to have the shape I was seeking while adding a 30 degree angle to it, much sleeker!
